I can't study Church doctrine too long without wondering about all the details of the history and events that took place in the ancient scriptures. The timeline project aims to document pretty much all people, communities and events that took place in the scriptures.
It seems like a big undertaking, but the idea is not to gather much detail -- instead, just to categorize and document everything. For instance, Seth was the son of Adam and Eve, and was born and died in a certain year, etc.
The project is definately on and off. I haven't even finalized a database structure yet, as my expectations keep growing. ;)
I do have every person in the Bible born from the time of Adam to Abraham along with their (estimated) dates of birth and death based on Latter-day Saint doctrine. I'm working on expanding that to include their nationality, to index the nations, and setup more special titles (king, queen, prophet, servant, etc.). As soon as I can I'll put more information online.
